Today,??I am finally facing one of my biggest fears. I have wanted to start a blog for a very long time, ?but my fear was beyond crippling. What would people think? Would people care what I had to say? Do they really care how I style my bar cart or what my favorite shoe is this season?
I purchased a magnet for my fridge recently from Petal Lane, it says ?Let your faith be bigger than your fears.? It was beyond convicting, every day as I passed it. I had been letting my fears overpower my faith, joy, and passions. As I slowly began to talk myself ?out of launching a blog once again, I reached out to one of my favorite local Oklahoma City bloggers, Macey Flowers. I initially reached out to her hoping for insight on how to become a respected and successful blogger. But, I was blown away with her response. She had been in my exact position, fears and all, just a year earlier!!! In that moment, I knew this was God pushing me past my doubts. This had to be a sign! There is nothing more comforting knowing someone, that has gone before me, has found success but has also battled the same feelings, worries, and even doubts (see her first blog post here!!)
So, welcome to ?Off Madison Avenue.? I am a twenty-two-year-old who spends entirely too much time online shopping, watching HGTV, and searching for my new favorite recipe on Pinterest. I?m a recent college graduate from Oklahoma State University, with a degree in Marketing and Entrepreneurship, a?wife to my best friend, and as of today- a blogger. Join me on my journey of overcoming my fear, and pursuing my passion!
